Why all this? Because data is everywhere and people want to see it - so why not make it useful and pretty?
I like visualizing information - hence my specialization in Information Visualization during my Computer Science studies. Before that I worked as an interactive graphics designer and developer at a newspaper. For my Master's thesis I combined InfoViz and Natural Language Processing to build TimeLineCurator, a bowser-based tool that translates text into visual timelines.
